WHY IS MEDITATION IMPORTANT

Meditation - The key to strengthening the mind.

The human mind and heart are structured in a way that we spend our childhood living in the present and as we age, we find ourselves fearing the future and thinking back to the past. This wavering of our minds between thoughts of the past and worries about the future takes us away from living in the present and causes us to lose our enthusiasm.

Meditation is a state of awareness achieved by concentration which controls the drifting mind. The chanting of Manthras, Naama Jabass and spells stir powers within us. These powers renew our enthusiasm and allow us to be open and aware, for it is only then that we are truly present.

MEDITATION

Deepa Dhyanam

Deep Dhyanam can cleanse the aura, balance the seven chakras, balance the power of the eye's sight, recharge the brain, uniform our air flow (the breathing cycle), clarify our thoughts, and create a great source of power. This has more effects. Everyone is talking of griefs and obstacles but none are thinking why it came. The reason behind it is that human heart and soul are filled with impurities. Both the heart and the soul got infested with impurities, and we are leading an unclear or undefinable life with the attitude of just surviving.

This is what we will have to break, the impurities in our heart could be clarified better with the omkara Deepa Dhyanam. Doing a Dhyanam as an individual and a group has much difference. Starting from the prehistoric age, when the prehistoric people prayed without any deities, the first (aruba) prayer was the prayer with jyothi (light). Deepa Dhyanam could be performed in certain times, with certain people, getting united with many human souls. This could be the time when the complete goodness of deepa dhyanam could be received. It couldn't be received on an everyday basis, so in Sathyodhayam, we do that on Thursdays of every week.
